RAPID DEPLOYMENT · HUMANITARIAN RESPONSE · INDO-PACIFIC
Rescue Response Group is a professional, volunteer-based disaster response organisation — building a credible, deployable capability aligned with international standards for the communities that need it most.
The frequency and severity of disasters is increasing. Government agencies and established teams are stretched. The gap between what's needed and what's available continues to grow.
At the same time, there is a rising cohort of skilled, experienced professionals — from fire and rescue, medicine, logistics, and defence — ready and willing to contribute more.
Rescue Response Group was built to connect those professionals with where they're needed, operating within the frameworks and relationships that make real impact possible.
RRG is a non-profit rapid deployment organisation, registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status is currently being confirmed with the ATO.
We are not a traditional volunteer group. Our personnel are drawn from professional emergency services, military, medical, and logistics backgrounds. Our doctrine is built from the ground up in alignment with INSARAG principles. Our governance model ensures every deployment decision is made with the right authority, the right information, and the right intent.
We complement - never compete with - established national and international response agencies.
We deploy on request - from host nations, coordinating bodies, or in support of accredited national teams. We do not self-deploy.
Our CONOPS, information management, and operational systems are built to align with international USAR frameworks from day one.
Non-profit structure, board oversight, and formal governance frameworks. We are building an institution, not just a team.
Building credibility in the international disaster response community requires discipline. We are not claiming capabilities we haven't validated. Our pathway is deliberate.
Our current operational focus is on the roles that create the most immediate value for national teams and coordination bodies — while pressure-testing our own systems in real environments.
Supporting the arrival, logistics, and departure coordination of international response teams — a critical function that frees forward-facing rescue teams to focus on operations.
Contributing to information management, coordination, and operational support within multi-agency USAR environments.
Providing structured, ground-level damage and needs assessments to inform incoming response priorities.
Base of operations setup, supply delivery, and field coordination — self-sufficient for up to 14 days in austere environments.
Light Urban Search and Rescue (USAR), light technical rescue (wilderness, flood, vertical), wildfire-qualified personnel, and Incident Management Team (IMT) augmentation — built progressively as our systems are validated.
We don't operate in isolation. RRG has been formally endorsed by SARAID (UK) — an INSARAG-classified Light USAR Team — as an organisation building a professional, ethical, and internationally credible disaster response capability.
Our operational pathway has been shaped by senior advisors from within Australia's national fire and rescue community, whose guidance on how emerging organisations build credibility within the international USAR community has directly informed how we are structured and sequenced.
We are registered with the UN's Global Disaster Alert and Coordination System (GDACS), with real-time alerts feeding into our internal activation and awareness processes.
Every person in Rescue Response Group brings real, deployable experience. Our team spans fire and rescue, emergency medicine, disaster medicine, intelligence, logistics, technical rescue, and incident coordination.
We are selective by design. We are not building numbers - we are building a trusted, credible roster of professionals who can perform when it matters.
If that sounds like you, we want to hear from you.
Emergency services professionals with frontline domestic and international experience.
Paramedics, physicians, and disaster medicine specialists.
Incident management, supply chain, and operational planning.
Specialist capability supporting information management and operational awareness.
RRG operates under a formal board of directors with clear governance frameworks, structured capability development, and documented doctrine. Our Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Policies and INSARAG-Aligned Information Management Framework are all formally developed and board-reviewed.
We publish what we can. We protect what we must. We never overstate our capability or our readiness.
Strategic direction, fiduciary oversight, ethical governance, and strategic partnerships.
Our operational doctrine covers the full lifecycle — from alert and activation through to demobilisation. Built to INSARAG principles, board-reviewed, and designed to scale.
ACNC registered. Transparent. Accountable. All positions volunteer, including the Board.
